When I saw these photos from the Tribune Standard collection I was totally knocked off of my chair.
I thought fashion was over this very IRRESPONSIBLE behavior.
Unacceptable.
Seriously, WTF?!
Are all fashion models unrealistically thin? YES.
But this is something entirely different. These girls are EMACIATED.
First of all, I have noticed a bounce back the last few seasons to thinner frames on the runway. Unfortunately, (besides Victoria's Secret) body size is a trendy thing in fashion, and always has been. It goes back and forth between 'healthy' weight and gaunt waif.
However,
These photographs are blatantly displaying something beyond waif.
Seriously, the girl in the swimsuit?!??
There's nothing marketable or attractive about her being shown that way, except maybe to the anorexic online communities to look at for "thinspiration".
SICK.
NO!!
This kind of senseless portrayal has to end.
Beyond that, all of the girls modeling this collection looked like refugees from some kind of nuclear mishap. Ill leave you with this photo, which will haunt me for years....
SHAME ON YOU, Tribune Standard.
